Who We Are, Where We've Been & What We've Done

aXcent Lighting, Sound & Consulting, based in White Plains, New York, has more than 40 years of experience with commercial and residential AV design and installation. We've been around for 35 years, and have done a lot of high-profile entertainment system work for important clients.

aXcent Lighting and Sound began to take shape in the mid 60's by an energetic drummer named Chuck Fazzino. Chuck played in bands across the bronx and later the tri state aea. Most of the clubs he played in never had any lighting to illuminate the bands on stage which concerned him so we began to design a small packaged hanging lighting system with both color flood wash and pin spots for the 3 band members, with much work and wiring design it became a reality. The package was hung in front of the stage and the control devce was placed behind Chuck the drummer and presto we looked better than any band around, but to this day Chuck still can't figure out how he played the drums and controlled the lights at the same time.

Time went by the drums became a thing of the past and aXcent Lighting and Sound was born. aXcent grew and we designed and installed light sound and video in most of the discos in the Tri-State Area. The client list will give you an idea of our most prestiges clients and more. Studio 54 was the most interesting, we would repair their neon lighting when it would get shattered. Westpoint was another, we created a disco in their dining hall to keep the cadets on campus on the weekends. aXcent designed and installed the very first neon under lit multicolored dance floor in a night club in scarsdale, New York.
